Mark Legvold Highlights Lifelong Commitment to Public Service in First Campaign Ad
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Legvold will lead with the values that a lifetime of public service has instilled in him
NORTHFIELD, MN. — On Tuesday, Mark Legvold, DFL candidate for Senate District 58, released the first ad of his 2026 campaign.
The ad, “Voices of Legvold,” tells the story of his experience as a teacher, farmer and more than three decades of service in the U.S. Air Force.
Legvold, who spent ten years as a teacher and administrator in St. Paul Public Schools, grows corn and soybeans on a family farm in Northfield. He says each element of his unique background would inform his work in the Senate, where he’ll fight to make life more affordable for Minnesotans and stop fraud.
Legvold is also focused on protecting healthcare access, especially for seniors and in Rural Minnesota, and combining investment in schools with higher standards to rebuild a world-class education system in the state.
Transcript of “Voices of Legvold”
We all deserve a voice in government.
The voice of a farmer, who knows how to wake up early and get the job done.
The voice of a veteran, who’s served something greater than themselves.
The voice of a teacher, who believes in our kids.
With me, you get all three.
I’m Mark Legvold, and I’m a farmer, a veteran and a teacher running for state senate.
We need someone to represent us who’s faced real challenges, and is ready to take on high costs and fraud. And I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty.
