Senator Rob Kupec Releases New Campaign Ad, Focused on Making Life Easier for Western Minnesotans

Moorhead, MN – On September 15, Senator Rob Kupec (SD-04) released a new ad for his 2026 reelection campaign.
The ad, “Because That’s My Job”, highlights Kupec’s career focused on helping make Minnesotans’ lives easier; from forecasting rain showers to cutting their taxes.
In the ad, Kupec shares how his career in meteorology was motivated by helping make people’s lives easier, and those are the same values that drive him at the State Senate.
In the Senate, Kupec was a leader in securing Social Security tax relief for the majority of Minnesota seniors, and delivered on capping prescription drug prices, and fought to keep healthcare in rural communities accessible and affordable.
Kupec has been a strong voice on the fight against fraud, working to establish the new taxpayer watchdog office of Inspector General, securing additional prosecutors and investigators to stop Medicaid fraud, and supporting local counties to keep up with rapidly advancing fraud technology.

About Rob Kupec
Rob represents Senate District 04 in the Minnesota State Senate Senate, encompassing Becker and Clay counties. He was first elected in November 2022.
Before entering public service, Kupec spent decades working as a meteorologist, including as the chief meteorologist at KVRR. He moved to Minnesota 26 years ago after living on the East Coast.
As a Senator, Kupec has focused on lowering costs, improving access to healthcare, supporting farmers and rural communities, tackling fraud, and securing investments for communities across Clay and Becker counties. He resides in Moorhead and is seeking reelection to the Minnesota State Senate for Senate District 4.
